Winners of the Doras and Jessies

Awards season is in full swing, and we could not be more thrilled that a handful of our titles were nominated for the 2013 Dora Mavor Moore Awards and the Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards. We're even more pleased that some of them have been named winners!

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners of the 2013 Dora Awards, including:

Jordan Tannahill who won Outstanding New Play in the Theatre for Young Audiences Division for rihannaboi95. Keep an eye out in the fall when we publish a collection of Jordan's plays, including rihannaboi95 in Age of Minority: Three Plays.

Kristen Thomson who won Outstanding New Play in the General Theatre Division for Someone Else.

Marjorie Chan who took home the Outstanding New Opera in the Musical Theatre/Opera Division for The Lesson of Da Ji.

The Little Years picked up a handful of awards for Outstanding Direction and Outstanding Performance, and Arigato, Tokyo also won for Outstanding Scenic Design.

And last but not least, congratulations to Yvette Nolan whose play, The Unplugging won the Jessie Richardson Theatre Award for Outstanding Original Script.
